viewing entry : 700 miles

Having negotiated the outskirts of edinburgh yesterday we picked up the union canal and beat out sixteen miles despite full weight. Back on the canal path this morning for another good day. Weather has been on and off showers but wind is cold and pretty strong. An nice old boy at last food stop gave us some lavender oil. A drop on your pillow each night makes you sleep alright he said. Seems to work and makes the tent smell slightly less threatening. Crazy Falkirk wheel tomorrow.

lavender is also an antiseptic if you need it, glad it has helped restful sleep...the progress you are making is fantastic,you will be back before you know it!!!!

fantastic work chaps
i can strongly suggest imbibing a nip of the lavender oil each night.
it's no scotch but will make the next 300 very interesting.

Lavender oil keeps BO away as well, maybe you should use it on your toilet paper!!! Great to see you are progressing well, keep this up and the trek will soon be finished! Keep safe xxx
