viewing entry : Two thirds

A few spots of rain didn't spoil the day as we crossed the two thirds point in beautiful country. On the south uplands way for most of the day which was quite rolling although not much elevation. Managed to launder trousers which was much needed. Cleaned out water bladders as well so good chores score. Night is dry but getting darker earlier and getting cooler everyday. Hat is now being worn for bed but no sleeping bag liner of thermals as yet. Big push to food stop 13 tomorrow.

watch out for ditches. They can be treacherous. i fell in one yesterday and dislocated my knee. If anyone asks, however, it was more of a ravine, or a chasm than a ditch. I don't like ditches anymore, so do be careful.

Well done boys. Not long now before you can sleep on that long train journey home. What a way to see the world; a few(?) blisters must be better than looking out of a car window to see the scenery. Keep up the good walk!

Hi Guys, Just back from hols, we sent your regards to Lands End (can't say we were too impressed with it, very commercialised! but views were impressive) You are doing fantastically well, keep it up! Maybe you ought to roll in cows dung it might help to keep the midges away! Or is it your smell that is attracting them:) xxx
