viewing entry : Ground control to major todd

Our circuit's been dead but nothing's wrong. No signal since half way as been in the hills since. Just outside Alston tonight at roughly 564 miles so doing ok with food stop 11 tomorrow if all goes well. First dry pitch since last post. Kit is all pretty wet or damp but life goes on. Trust us we are eating all our rations and more. Still hungry and tired most of the time but still smiling most of the time. Signal is very sketchy but we do try to post as often as we can as love reading the comments. Be good.

Hurah!!! You're alive!! I thought one of you had eaten the other in a fit of starvation and then eaten himself. Are you nearly in Scotland yet?

Looking at your route, you go near fi's mums village in northumberland. Just thought i'd warn you as she's mad.
Take care boys, onwards & upwards.

good to read that all's well after the signal silence this week. We trust you sampled the Black Sheep at the Tan Hill - they do know how to brew ale in those parts. We were promised a second heat wave in August - it hasn't long to develop. Chelmorton seems a long way back but it's only two weeks ago tomorrow. Keep it up, we are impressed.

Pheeew... glad to hear all is good, thought that maybe you'd run into some duelling 'banjo action'.

Still making good progress it seems, excellent.
