Looks like this is sorted with a find on an American site for a gravity fed water filter - http://www.backcountry.com/store/EXT0050/Katadyn-Base-Camp-Water-Filter - . Going to be around $80 inc shipping so sounds OK. Getting the order off now. Two big tasks left now - final route preparation and purchase/forwarding food parcels. 6 weeks to go !!
